Dangerous

  1. Activate your senses and check for:
    • Gas smell
    • Leaks on the floor
    • Creaking or hissing sounds
    • Wobbling when parked
  2. If any of the above are present, move the vehicle out of your garage immediately

Biological Hazard

  1. Check for concerning smells:
    • Mold or mildew
    • Urine or feces
  2. Look for garbage piles in back seat or trunk
  3. If trunk was previously inaccessible, inspect it thoroughly now
  4. If sharing space with others, mark area as off limits
  5. Clean up hazards or conceal from view

Disgusting

  1. Inspect for pests:
    • Bugs
    • Rodents
  2. If pests found, stop and clean immediately
  3. Remove all garbage from:
    • Under floor mats
    • Under trunk mats
    • Under seats
  4. Check under hood
  5. Check glove box and preserve any paperwork (may be useful for history/parts)
